Welcome to the Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Association of Centre County!
This branch of the PFRA is located in State College, Pennsylvania, which
is next door to Pennsylvania State University - right in the middle of
central PA. We are 15 minutes from Route 322 and Route 80.
The shelter is located in the home of the shelter director, Mary
McCarty-Houser. The Centre County branch is the smallest of the three
shelters, with a maximum number of 25 ferrets at any one time (except in
cases of emergency).
The Centre County PFRA is run primarily by Mary, but with a great deal of
support and help from her volunteers. The volunteers are looking to start
a local ferret club, so if interested please email Mary for more
informaton about the club.
If you would like more information about the PFRA of Centre County, please
feel free to e-mail Mary or telephone her at 814-237-9267.
