Welcome to the PFRA of Westmoreland County!
This branch of the PFRA is located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, approximately 30 minutes southeast of
Pittsburgh. We're just a few minutes from Exits 6, 7, and 8 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I76).
The shelter is located in the upstairs bedroom of the home of Tara Palaski, the shelter director. The
facilities are clean and newly refinished, consisting of a ferret proof room devoted to housing and
group play space. All ferrets are REQUIRED to be ADV tested prior to entry in to the shelter, please
feel free to contact us for more information.
The PFRA of Westmoreland County is run primarily by Tara Palaski, however she does have a core of enthusiastic
shelter volunteers who provide assistance on a continuing, regular basis. Their support is enormously
appreciated and desperately needed.
If you would like more information about the PFRA of Westmoreland County, please feel free to
e-mail Tara or telephone her at 724-853-0920.
